I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Cupid's Story...

She came to the shelter as a stray with her friend Comet, and is a little older and the more outgoing of the two. She is a little older and the more outgoing of the two. Cupid is also a Pit Bull Terrier and approximately 2 years old.

Cupid will require some additional time and training but she walks on lead and appears quite attentive. She has a gentle nature and seems ok with other dogs but, as a stray, we don't have many details. Cupid enjoys people and receiving a belly rub and a scratch behind the ears for good measure. She is a sweet tempered girl, good in her kennel. Cupid does well with people, though shy at first, warms up quickly and appears eager to please. She enjoys her bed, blanket and toys and always has a ready smile for the volunteers and other visitors.

Cupid is available for adoption now. Cupid is currently in foster care. Here is an update from her foster mom: "She's settled in quite well & has learned our schedule pretty quickly. Hasn't had any accidents in the house since the first night she got here. Uses the dog door consistently. She walks well on a leash (we took her for a short hike today in the foothills & she did great). She has never met another dog she didn't love. She wants to be everybody's friend & I would suggest she do best in a home with other dogs. They really help her come out of her shell. She's low key & is perfectly content sleeping on the couch but does get the occasional hyper streak. When she does get in her hyper streak she loves chew toys & pouncing around the back yard (yes, pouncing, not running...LOL). She sleeps in her kennel quietly & we kennel her while out of the house & she does fine then as well. She is very food motivated & not at all food aggressive (or any aggressive for that matter). She's decent with our cat but does occasionally feel the need to chase her. I think with more training she won't have any issues [with] cats. Oh, we also gave her a bath today & she was scared to death but did pretty decently although she absolutely hated the blow dryer!"
